I've also added al recent ones to the extra Site I already opened some months ago. You can find the site <b><a href="http://the-car-addict.com/p/car-of-week.html">HERE</a></b>.<br /><br />The E46 of the BMW 6 series was introduced to the public while the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany in 2003. Since 2004 till the 8th of July 2010 the E64 (Convertible) and the E63 (Coupe) were built.<br /><br />The 6 series was designed, by Chris Bangle, to look like a shark.I like its design especially caus it has not the "typical BMW" look, especially the back.<br />With its 2010 prices at $78,450 / $85,550 its based near to the 7 series and the M5.<br /><br /><br />The base engine was a 3.0 L straight-6 with 255 hp. There was also a 4.4L V8 with 329 hp available.<br />Transmission choices are either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic "Steptronic".<br /><br />In autumn 2007 debuted an updated version for both 6-series - Coupe and Convertible. The main changes were some LED additions like a third enlarged brakelight.<br />In 2005 the M6 version was introduced. It has the E60 M5 engine with 500 HP and in the third quater of 2006 the M6 convertible got announced as an upcoming 2007 model.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03561.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03561.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03569.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="428" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03569.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03573.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03573.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03574.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03574.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03575.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03575.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03578.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03578.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03579.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03579.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03580.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03580.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03581.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="640" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03581.jpg" width="429" /></a></div><br /><a href="http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/?action=view&current=DSC03582.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="429" src="http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/thecaraddictblog2/DSC03582.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><br />Lisa<br /><br />

Car of the Week: Porsche GT3 RS

Here's the this weeks' "Car of the week", the Porsche GT3 RS.<br /><br />The 996 GT3 was built between 1999 and 2005. Since 2003 they made an high performance sportscar with about 380 hp and gave him the add "RS" to the name. "RS" is originally german and means "RennSport" or "Racing Sport" in english.  In remembrance to the 1970's the GT3 RS's hat slide stickers and lightblue or red wheels. I think you've already seen one with those coloured rims ;-) Matching to that the only available colour was Carrarawhite.<br />The basic price was about 121 000 Euros/91 000 Dollars.<br />The 0-100kmh/60 mph the RS optained after 4.3 seconds and the Top Speed is at 306 km/h or 190 mph.<br /><br />From the 140 right hand driven ones 113 were officially imported to the UK.<br />Officially the RS wasn't sold in the US or Canada - what a pitty for them!!<br /><br />At the Parisian Motor Show while October 2006 Porsche have shown the new, 977 GT3 RS for the first time to the public. With its six cilindre 415 PS/HP engine he reaches the 100kmh/60HP after 4.2 seconds. At about 310kmh/193 mph you reached the maximum speed. The sell began also in October 2006 for a price around 130 000 Euros. In Northamerica the RS costs about  97 000 Dollars and was available to buy in March 2007.<br />Not only a selling in the US was new, also there were new colours available: Arcticsilver and black or orange and green.<br />My model owns an arcticsilver colouring, for your notice, I bought it in the shop at the Museum in Zuffenhausen (Some of my readers actually know ;)! )<br /><br />In 2009 Porsche improved the specifications of their RS and named it MK II. They spent him an 3.8l engine with 450 PS/HP to reach the 100kmh/60hp in 4.0 seconds.<br />At the Geneva Motor Show in 2010 they presented a Hybrid model with an 480 PS/HP engine and two electro motors. It uses the KERS-System, well known for Formula 1 watchers.<br />In March they attended at the 24 hours race at the Nürburgring, but after 22 hours they had a technical defect.<br /><br />Like the rear wing is very characteristic for the RS, both, 996 and 997, were assembled in Zuffenhausen near Stuttgart in Germany - Porsche-City.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />The pictures were taken while this mornings beautiful sunset :) Hope you like them, feel free to comment!<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_ccXWGtmYIX_8WzvRWalAGj6clsTZQXLIrYwrYhFL7KFdWecJotwoeeth94fhTZkHN1H3JjGVps-ku8EOerjtUvM-2DfdQqpoLiZeOY0SVbEWgvJn6zu6IvpbwLXcu0PMr1QIsxUN2aTv/s1600/DSC06810.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_ccXWGtmYIX_8WzvRWalAGj6clsTZQXLIrYwrYhFL7KFdWecJotwoeeth94fhTZkHN1H3JjGVps-ku8EOerjtUvM-2DfdQqpoLiZeOY0SVbEWgvJn6zu6IvpbwLXcu0PMr1QIsxUN2aTv/s640/DSC06810.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitfvFSq5SNWs0Z7gauThBIY_ghnYyzjsAmqVWWlH6nPh92MdVsMmc6iDofpzaY3K7cDczNyld5W0UmqrrrxOxLt8m0t8eovUR3Js936Nbve6_-SlhV1WKTh6-fuqUEahV5RktLTmb7F4uB/s1600/DSC06819.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitfvFSq5SNWs0Z7gauThBIY_ghnYyzjsAmqVWWlH6nPh92MdVsMmc6iDofpzaY3K7cDczNyld5W0UmqrrrxOxLt8m0t8eovUR3Js936Nbve6_-SlhV1WKTh6-fuqUEahV5RktLTmb7F4uB/s640/DSC06819.jpg" width="640" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHlWan-qvGhyzJy6Qceofl_Qqx7UlA0JudRap5EOmay-tIX96JbuXRhTV17Z0gpodCkCwUSWwAxii1SdJqVsdd8fjCUG6QzIK0r69IXWLV41twrKiiFmMifnxcdPHnUNpj7Q0IL1O9MzMI/s1600/DSC06809.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHlWan-qvGhyzJy6Qceofl_Qqx7UlA0JudRap5EOmay-tIX96JbuXRhTV17Z0gpodCkCwUSWwAxii1SdJqVsdd8fjCUG6QzIK0r69IXWLV41twrKiiFmMifnxcdPHnUNpj7Q0IL1O9MzMI/s640/DSC06809.jpg" width="640" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0iZMmgB2A0vG2R2bAGApnN7gFfGeSvIsvh9BXsWsMz1t0KN-1fN00Tjpep4t6rs4sWW4ZHTA6DbhpsHdCISvx1B3EBBCDcU1NyYrnSyN6inf7QoFO-iLap7squCFz3xoYIGuDMGwv4dM5/s1600/DSC06808.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0iZMmgB2A0vG2R2bAGApnN7gFfGeSvIsvh9BXsWsMz1t0KN-1fN00Tjpep4t6rs4sWW4ZHTA6DbhpsHdCISvx1B3EBBCDcU1NyYrnSyN6inf7QoFO-iLap7squCFz3xoYIGuDMGwv4dM5/s640/DSC06808.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />I've tried some new editing-styles.
